an unbiased in-depth review and evaluation of netTrekker and summarized their
conclusions regarding netTrekker’s value to teachers and students.
Purpose of Report
-
Provides the research basis for netTrekker’s user interface
and selection of the content.
-
Suggests research-based strategies for using netTrekker in schools
in ways that will maximize the probability of producing measurable improvement
in student learning.
-
Educators will be able to use this report as a research reference
when preparing No Child Left Behind (NCLB) proposals and plans that incorporate
the use of netTrekker as an instructional and learning resource.
The No Child Left Behind Act mandates that all electronic learning resources
(ELRs) purchased by school districts be designed with a scientific research
basis. The rationale is that NCLB assumes that research-based and evaluated
programs will have a higher probability of increasing student academic
achievement. This means that educators must have access to research-based
ELRs in order to justify the use of NCLB funding for their purchase.
-

Behind funds.
